I am a Kindergarten teacher in a small private school in Texas. I started teaching in public schools, and I chose to begin teaching in private schools after my children were born. I stayed home for a brief period when my children were young and decided to work at a small preschool where my kids could go with me! It was perfect! I was able to teach part time as a Pk4 teacher, and they were able to experience preschool and enjoy all the fun crafts and learning all things school. I became the Curriculum Specialist shortly after which was amazing!! It was the best part time position ever!

Once my kids were old enough to go to school, I began teaching at a private school (where I teach today) and bring them with me. I feel blessed to have been able to be with my kids and see them throughout the day!
I have taught grades Pk-2nd and love all of those grades for different reasons! I have been teaching for 20 years, and every year is so different! I am always finding new ways to grow as an educator. My passion is social emotional learning! I absolutely LOVE it!! When we teach the littles, they may come to you with no prior school experience and a variety of home experiences. Learning social skills is a huge part of Kindergarten. It is AMAZING to see how much they grow through the year! So exciting to be a part of that! As educators, we get to help them develop a love for school and learning!!!
I absolutely love decorating my classroom!! I like to try out new things and themes. I love making our classroom feel like home for our school family. Creating Resources
I started designing curriculum and classroom resources for Teachers pay Teachers in 2018. I enjoy creating decor for classrooms and sharing ideas for organization and making your classroom beautiful and feel like home. Many of my resources are book activities for grades Pk-1st with crafts, writing activities, and responses to reading. Books open up a door to so much learning, discussions, and growth.
